Last Day at the Office
And so it ends! My thanks to all the Folkboaters I have both met and heard from over the past six years. I trust that you will give Tony the same level of support that I have been lucky enough to receive. He knows an awful lot more about Folkboats than I ever did.
Best wishes - Eddie (ex-Secretary)
Wanted - A Folkboat Trailer
Nick Ward (07900 191326) is after a standard FB trailer to work on and winter my Folkboat. Twin axle, 2 tonne load to tow behind a Landrover.
Any help to find one on the south coast would be great as I live on the Isle of Wight.
2015 NORDIC GOLD CUP
Next year the Gold Cup will be in Germany (Rostock-Warnemünde). The races will be take place at the Baltic Sea in Rostock-Warnemünde. The sailing course will be very close to the harbour of Warnemünde and we are planning some social events. It’s easy to reach Warnemünde, because there is a large harbour and a ferry line. Camping is possible behind the Clubhouse, which has a view of the Baltic Sea. Warnemünde offers a lot of hotels and Bed & Breakfast places.
The estimated time table looks like this:
· Arrival, craning, measurement: 11th & 12th July 2015
· Races: 13th - 17th July 2015 (17th reserve day / prize giving ceremony)
· Departure: 17th & 18th July 2015
We would be very happy, if you could visit us in Germany. For further information (coming soon in a few weeks) click here: http://www.goldpokal2015.de
If you are interesed in chartering a Nordic Folkboat for the races, please let me know.

Folkboats UK Spread Their Wings With A Visit To The Dusseldorf Boot 2014
Tony Smee and Deedra Jeffrey shake hands with Jens Knappe at the Dusseldorf Boot 2014. Click on image to enlarge.
Tony Smee, the sole agent for Folkboat sales in the UK, flew out to the Dusseldorf Boat Show to meet new Director of Folkeboat Central GmbH, Jens Knappe, to discuss new and exciting ways to develop the Folkboat into the future.
A mutually successful outcome was achieved, encouraging and promoting closer working relationships between the German builder and Folkboats UK Ltd. This involved broadening the sales market and managing the suppliers of spare parts being shipped to the UK.
Tony Smee and his Lymington team are looking forward to welcoming Jens to their dedicated Folkboat premises in the near future.
