NEWTOWN RALLY REPORT

JUNE 26th 2010

 At last we managed to organise the right weather for our favourite rally at Newtown creek on the I.O.W.

Six boats attended including a surprise visit from Aida who sailed up from Poole. It very nice to see her again.

Yo-Ho, Borte med Blasten, Kyma, Carlinetta, Sandpiper and Aida all anchored up in Clamerkin Lake and the peaceful afternoon of socialising was rounded off with a barbeque on the beach in a beautiful warm evening with great company, food and wine.

We even laid on a spectacular sunset! A successful event thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We are hoping to see more cruisers at Folkboat Week in Yarmouth from August 14^th onwards. Don’t forget, you can call in and ‘rally’ even if you don’t feel like racing.
