Folkboat Week Ditty 2017

e were a little curious,
To hear some hooters spurious!
For Countdown has a little fault,
And on the start line you'll get caught.
The plumbing pressure- and it's true,
Will hoot, when ROs flush the loo!
On Wednesday eve, a treat we had,
At Jeremy's Freshwater pad.
Ate salmon and quaffed rose wine,
Before the Piano Bar to dine.
A merry crowd there gathered round
And to the rooftops songs resound.
The youngsters walked back in the dark,
At first they thought it quite a lark,
But then a car stopped- a man said,
' get in you lot, it's time for bed'
The girls all screamed - not with a stranger-
It's danger stranger, stranger danger!
But in the lamplight they could see,
''Twas only our friend Jeremy,
Who kindly thought- 'the walk's too far'
So drove to get them in his car!
The Cruisers 'specific gender' race
Saw
Folkdance
sail into first place,
Then just to get that first place double,
Lyn won the Crew's Race with no trouble.
The sausages were pretty hairy,
Avoiding tacks and gybes was scary.
Aground went
Folkdance
and
Yo Ho
,
And
Yo Ho
had a second go.
Then
Raev
and
Jos
went hard aground,
To lighten ship, he must,
Jos
found,
Chuck both crew over in the briney,
Where they got soaked and cold and slimy!
