he leeward mark I found a test,
What should you do to beat the rest?
I called for water and got none
But going fast on that last run,
We slightly bumped dear
Scaramouche
But that was only just a touche
On rounding we bumped
Lady Linda
Who we don't really want to hinder.
And then gave
Samphire
a slight kiss,
So close, we nearly had a miss.
Not sure how many turns to make
It's three for one, for goodness sake!
Now
Samphire
Sara's full of glee,
At last they had a victory.
The sausages first race they won
Which was fantastic and great fun.
They could not win the sausage cup,
From which their 'Bolly' they could sup.
But though this team's not very sinful-
I bet that night they had a skinful!
The Friday winds were very light,
The tides were strong and movement slight.
And though
Stralende
led all race,
Madelaine
creamed in to take first place.
They're neck and neck - you should have seen 'em,
With half a second there between 'em!
Now, Sally's up there with the best,
It's 'cos her boat's a dragons nest.
And Lady Dragon brings the wine,
And bakes banana cake devine.
At last we had a strong young crew,
And Frances showed him what to do.
Our main, stamped '98' ne'r fails,
This crew proved younger than our sails!
